The excursion to the Peterhof is one of the most popular excursions in St. Petersburg. One of the most beautiful summer residences of the royal family, the world-famous palace, fountain and park ensemble of Peterhof is an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture of the 18th-19th centuries. It was founded at the very beginning of the 18th century by Emperor Peter the Great not far from the new northern capital St. Petersburg. 

During the excursion you will visit the GreatPalace, which is the structural center of the UpperGardensand the LowerPark. It stands on the edge of a sixteen-meter high terrace, adorned with gold statues, the crystal jets of the Great Cascade and the terrace fountains. During the palace excursion you will enjoy its spacious and airy rooms adorned with rich moldings, splendid parquet flooring, exquisite carving, painted ceilings and canvases by great masters.

The Lower Park is an ideal place for walking. Peterhof is often called the Capital of Fountains, and you will get a chance to make sure that this expression is true. You will see various fountains of different sizes and shapes. The view to the Great Palace and the Fountains Cascade will amaze you. The cascade consists of grottos, waterfalls and fountains of different sizes and in the center there is the famous gilded statue of Samson, drawing apart the jaws of the lion. The height of spray of the fountain reaches 20 metersand it is a fantastic view indeed!
